Augusta, GA – Pedestrian Accident Involving Motorcyclist on Tobacco Rd
Augusta, GA (May 22, 2021) – At 9 p.m. on Friday night, May 21, a pedestrian accident involving a motorcyclist occurred in Augusta.
According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, a pedestrian was crossing the street on Tobacco Road near the Food Lion. They were struck by a motorcyclist who was traveling in the area.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help. The unidentified pedestrian was injured and hospitalized. It is not known if the motorcyclist received injuries.
One or more lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
