Augusta, GA – Injuries Reported in Car Accident on Jimmie Dyess Pkwy
Augusta, GA (November 10, 2021) – Around 5:56 a.m. on Wednesday morning, November 10, a car accident with injuries occurred in Augusta.
According to Columbia County officials, the accident happened on the Jimmie Dyess Parkway. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they lost control due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. Their conditions are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
