Augusta, GA – Firefighter Injured in School Fire on Mura Dr
Augusta, GA (May 17, 2021) – On Sunday, May 16, a firefighter was injured in a school fire that took place in Augusta.
According to police, the incident took place at the Old Rollins Elementary School. The fire spread quickly and engulfed two major rooms in flames within 20 minutes. Fire crews were then able to bring the fire under control.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene. One firefighter, who was injured in the accident, was taken to the hospital for treatment. No civilians received injuries.
The area was blocked for an extended period of time.
