Augusta, GA – Car Accident on I-520 Near Deans Bridge Rd
Augusta, GA (May 24, 2021) – At 2:30 p.m. on Monday afternoon, May 24, a car accident with injuries occurred on a highway in Augusta.
According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-520 around the area of Deans Bridge Road. At least three vehicles collided with each other in the area, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident but they are expected to be okay.
All lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
