Atlanta, GA – Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Hollowell Pkwy & Finley Ave
Atlanta, GA (September 20, 2022) – Police are searching for the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident that took place on Monday morning, September 19th.
The event happened at about 2:30 a.m. Monday on a section of road where officials have recently noticed a high number of pedestrian accidents.
Officers say it occurred on Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway near Finley Avenue in northwest Atlanta.
This area was only left with collision investigation marks on the road and a piece of crime scene tape, per ne footage from the scene. According to investigators, the woman was strolling down the road when a motorist struck her and continued driving.
The woman died at the scene of the crash, despite life-saving measures performed by EMTs. There have been no additional details given, but the inquiry into the accident is still ongoing.
