Atlanta, GA – Victim Hurt in Auto-Pedestrian Wreck at Hollowell & Jackson Pkwys
Atlanta, GA (December 4, 2021) – At 5:30 p.m. on Saturday evening, December 4, a pedestrian crash occurred at an intersection in Atlanta.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Atlanta Hollowell Parkway and Jackson Parkway. A pedestrian was crossing the street at the intersection when they were suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle that was traveling in the area. The vehicle responsible for the accident remained at the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene. The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was knocked down and injured. The party was able to speak with the police when they arrived at the scene. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment, though their condition is not known at this time.
Several lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for a period of time until police cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
