Atlanta, GA – Truck Crash on The Perimeter Near Riverdale Rd
Atlanta, GA (July 11, 2021) – At 10:43 a.m. on the morning of Sunday, July 11, a truck crash with injuries occurred on a highway in Atlanta.
According to Clayton County officials, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of The Perimeter around the area of Riverdale Road. Two tractor-trailers were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The trucks involved in the crash were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries. Their identities have not yet been released.
Multiple left lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for a period of time. Police urged those in the area to use I-20 as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
