Atlanta, GA – Truck Accident Involving Bus at Jackson Pkwy & Hollowell Pkwy
Atlanta, GA (December 5, 2021) – At 5:15 p.m. on the evening of Friday, December 4, a truck accident involving a bus took place at an Atlanta intersection.
According to Fulton County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Jackson Parkway and Hollowell Parkway. A bus and a tractor-trailer attempted to enter the intersection at the same time, causing them to collide forcefully with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured victims were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene. Police urged those in the area to use I-20 as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
