Atlanta, GA – Truck Accident in NB Lanes of I-285 Near Cascade Rd
Atlanta, GA (July 30, 2021) – At 10:49 a.m. on the morning of Friday, July 30, a truck accident occurred on a highway in Atlanta.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-285 around the area of exit 7, Cascade Road. A tractor-trailer and at least one other vehicle were traveling in the area when they collided with each other. The vehicles involved sustained heavy damages as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hospitalized as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their identities and conditions are not yet known.
The three left lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time, which led to extensive delays until police cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues at this time.
