Atlanta, GA – Trooper Injured in Car Accident on Martin Luther King Jr Dr
Atlanta, GA (September 18, 2021) – At 9:33 p.m. on Friday night, September 17, a trooper was injured in a car accident on a roadway in Atlanta.
According to Georgia State Patrol officials, the accident occurred on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Troopers started a pursuit with a vehicle when the cruiser, the suspect vehicle, and one other vehicle collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident sustained severe damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. The trooper, as well as two other people, were injured in the collision. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. There were delays in the area until police cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
