Atlanta, GA – Injuries, Delays Follow Tractor-Trailer Accident in WB Lanes of I-285
Atlanta, GA (October 14, 2021) – At 12:12 p.m. on the afternoon of Thursday, October 14, a serious tractor-trailer collision occurred in Atlanta.
According to police, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-285 around the area of exit 51, Bouldercrest Road. A tractor-trailer was traveling in the area when it collided with a passenger vehicle due to reasons that are not fully known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured in the accident. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
Several center lanes of traffic were blocked for a period of time as police cleared the scene.
