Atlanta, GA – Tractor-Trailer Accident with Injuries in NB Lanes of I-285
Atlanta, GA (July 14, 2021) – At 11:34 a.m. on Wednesday morning, July 14, a tractor-trailer accident with injuries occurred in Atlanta.
According to officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-285 around the area of Cascade Road. Two tractor-trailers were traveling in the area when they suddenly collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles were extensively damaged in the accident and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately called to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes until police cleared the scene, which led to delays in the area for some time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
