Atlanta, GA – Tractor-Trailer Accident on I-75 Near Windy Hill Rd
Atlanta, GA (September 16, 2021) – At 7:28 a.m. on the morning of Thursday, September 16, a serious tractor-trailer accident occurred in Atlanta.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-75 around the area of exit 260, Windy Hill Road. A tractor-trailer was traveling in the area when a pickup truck slammed into it due to reasons that are not yet known. The pickup truck sustained severe front-end damage. The involved vehicles had to be removed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the collision. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals, though their conditions are not yet known.
Four right lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police urged those in the area to use Highway 41 as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues at this time.
