Atlanta, GA – Tractor-Trailer Accident on I-285 Near Cascade Rd
Atlanta, GA (October 1, 2021) – At I:42 p.m. on the afternoon of Friday, October 1, a tractor-trailer accident with injuries occurred in Atlanta.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-285 around the area of exit 7, Cascade Road. A tractor-trailer was traveling in the area when it collided with a passenger vehicle due to reasons that are not fully known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes for a period of time, which led to extensive delays.
