Atlanta, GA – Tractor-Trailer Accident on I-285 Leads to Injuries
Atlanta, GA (December 28, 2021) – At 10:29 a.m. on the morning of Tuesday, December 28, a tractor-trailer accident occurred on a highway in Atlanta.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of I-285 around the area of Jonesboro Road. A tractor-trailer was traveling in the eastbound lanes of traffic when it suddenly collided with one or more passenger vehicles due to reasons that are not fully known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.
Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the roadway was blocked for some time. This led to delays until police cleared the scene.
