Atlanta, GA – Tractor-Trailer Accident on GA-166 Near Delowe Dr
Atlanta, GA (September 7, 2021) – Before 5 p.m. on the evening of Tuesday, September 7, a tractor-trailer accident happened in Atlanta.
According to police, the accident happened on GA-166 around the area of Delowe Drive. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they lost control, causing them to collide with each other. One of the vehicles was a tractor-trailer that sustained extensive front-end damage. A silver sedan spun around and had severe damages to its passenger’s side.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the accident, only a right lane of traffic was open in the area for some time. Police urged those in the area to use Campbellton Road as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
