Atlanta, GA – Three-Vehicle Collision Leads to Injuries in SB Lanes of I-75
Atlanta, GA (June 10, 2021) – At 4:30 a.m. on the morning of Thursday, June 10, a three-vehicle collision occurred on a highway in Atlanta.
According to police, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-75 around the area of the Peachtree Battle Avenue overpass. At the time, police confirmed that a Dodge pickup truck was traveling south when it was suddenly rear-ended by a Hyundai. The pickup truck then continued forward where it ran into a barrier wall. A third vehicle, identified as another pickup truck, struck a piece of debris that was left on the road due to the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. The unidentified driver of the Hyundai was taken to the hospital with critical injuries. The two other drivers of the pickup trucks were hospitalized with minor injuries.
Due to the severity of the crash, a large portion of the roadway was blocked until police were able to clear the scene.
Police continue their investigation into the collision at this time.
