Atlanta, GA – T-Bone Accident at Hollowell Pkwy & W Lake Ave Intersection
Atlanta, GA (August 12, 2021) – At 5:32 p.m. on Thursday evening, August 12, a T-bone accident occurred at an intersection in Atlanta.
According to officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Hollowell Parkway and West Lake Avenue. A passenger vehicle and a pickup truck were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time. The passenger vehicle T-boned the pickup truck on its side due to reasons that are not yet known. This caused extensive damages to the involved vehicles, which had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The intersection was blocked in the area for a period of time, which led to delays until police cleared the scene. Police urged those in the area to use Boone Boulevard as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues at this time.
