Motorcycle Accidents in Georgia
Motorcycle accidents have quickly become a common occurrence in Georgia; however, when they do occur, they tend to lead to some of the most catastrophic results. In 2019, it was reported that 170 motorcyclists were killed in Georgia motorcycle accidents overall, while hundreds more sustained serious injuries. Because motorcycles continue to be an increasingly popular choice of transportation on our roads, these accidents continue to happen on increasing levels. Drivers are expected to pay attention to what is happening on our roads so that these accidents can be prevented. Some of the most common causes of motorcycle accidents include the following:
- Driving while distracted
- Driving under the influence
- Speeding
- Driving while fatigued
Working with an expert after a motorcycle accident can help you move forward and get back on your feet.
Motorcycle accident claims differ from many claims but one thing remains the same: A motorcycle accident is still brought with a personal injury claim. This means that, to move forward with a successful claim, you will need to show that a driver breached their duty of care and that it led to your accident. Motorcyclists are typically injured in accidents when drivers are not reasonably paying attention to the road while they are driving. If you have been hurt in a motorcycle accident and wonder where you can turn, you should speak with an Atlanta motorcycle accident attorney as soon as possible.
