Atlanta, GA – Rollover Crash with Injuries in WB Lanes of I-285
Atlanta, GA (May 16, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a serious rollover crash that took place on a major highway in Atlanta on Monday morning, May 16.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened around 8 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-285 around the area of I-85. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known, causing one of the vehicles to forcefully overturn. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged due to the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained serious injuries due to the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the collision, a portion of the road was blocked in the area for some time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene as delays continued for a period of time.
