Atlanta, GA – Rollover Crash at Memorial Dr & Central Ave Intersection
Atlanta, GA (December 16, 2021) – At 8:02 a.m. on the morning of Thursday, December 16, a rollover crash occurred at an intersection in Atlanta.
According to police, the accident happened at the intersection of Memorial Drive and Central Avenue. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to unknown reasons. The vehicles collided so forcefully that one rolled over before the intersection. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders were called to the scene to help those in need. Several people sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, several lanes of traffic were blocked for a period of time. This led to delays until the scene was cleared.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing at this time.
