Atlanta, GA – Rollover Collision with Injuries on I-285 Near I-75
Atlanta, GA (December 1, 2021) – At 7 a.m. on the morning of Wednesday, December 1, a rollover collision occurred on a highway in Atlanta.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-285 around the area of exit 20, I-75. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to unknown reasons. Due to the force of the collision, one of the vehicles overturned. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
All lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for a period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
