Atlanta, GA – Rollover Accident on I-20 Near MLK Jr Dr Leads to Injuries
Atlanta, GA (August 8, 2021) – At 8:24 p.m. on the night of Sunday, August 8, a rollover accident with injuries occurred on a highway in Atlanta.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of I-20 around the area of MLK Jr. Drive. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other, causing one of the vehicles to roll over. The rolled vehicle was badly damaged and left debris scattered all over the road in the area.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions are not known at this time.
The rolled vehicle blocked the left lane of traffic for some time until tow trucks could remove it from the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
