Atlanta, GA – Rollover Accident Leads to Injuries in WB Lanes of I-20
Atlanta, GA (December 21, 2021) – At 3:45 p.m. on the afternoon of Monday, December 20, a rollover accident occurred on a highway in Atlanta.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-20. A Ford pickup truck made a pass in the emergency lane and re-entered traffic. The pickup truck and another vehicle collided with each other due to unknown reasons. This caused the pickup truck to lose control, crossing all lanes of traffic before it ran into the concrete median. The pickup truck was then hit by another vehicle, causing it to overturn.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the crash. Those involved in the accident sustained minor injuries. Their conditions are not yet known at this time.
All westbound lanes of traffic on I-20 were blocked for approximately three hours as police worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues at this time.
