Atlanta, GA – Rollover Accident Leads to Injuries in WB Lanes of GA-166
Atlanta, GA (August 20, 2021) – At 8:15 p.m. on the night of Friday, August 20, a rollover accident with injuries occurred on a highway in Atlanta.
According to authorities, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of GA-166 around the area of Sylvan Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when the vehicles collided with one another, causing one to roll over in traffic. The vehicles were badly damaged and left debris scattered all over the area.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been officially identified, were injured in the crash. The victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.
At times, all lanes of traffic were blocked until police were able to clear the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
