Atlanta, GA – Police & Firefighters Rush to Assist at Crash on I-20 near Wesley Chapel Rd (Exit 68)
Atlanta, GA (September 5, 2022) – A Vehicle crash occurred on Monday in the Atlanta area that resulted in injuries. On September 5, at around 1:24 p.m., emergency crews were notified that a crash took place on Interstate 20.
Preliminary reports provided by the Atlanta Police Department officials indicate that vehicles were involved in a crash on the westbound side of Interstate 20 near Wesley Chapel Road, exit 68.
The crash blocked two right lanes of the roadway, prompting police to redirect traffic through Covington Highway.
Medical personnel responded to provide care to victims who were injured as a result of the crash. An unknown number of people were transported to area hospitals, where they were provided further medical treatment.
Investigations are ongoing with the Atlanta Police Department’s Accident Investigators Unit at this time.
