Atlanta, GA – Pedestrian Accident at Peachtree Rd & Pharr Rd
Atlanta, GA (September 7, 2021) – At 3 a.m. on the morning of Sunday, September 5, a pedestrian accident in Atlanta led to critical injuries.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Peachtree Road and Pharr Road. A pedestrian was allegedly walking in the area when he was struck by a vehicle that was traveling through the intersection. The driver of the vehicle immediately fled the scene of the crash.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was critically injured in the crash. He was taken to the hospital for treatment, though his current condition is not yet known.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the accident has not yet been found.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene.
