Atlanta, GA – One Person Killed in Fatal Car Accident on I-75
Atlanta, GA (July 9, 2021) – Early Friday morning, July 9, one person was killed in a fatal car accident on a highway in Atlanta.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened on I-75 around the area of I-20. For reasons that are not yet known, several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other. The vehicles involved in the crash were left with extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately called to the scene of the crash. One person, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. It is not known if any parties were injured.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in several lanes for some time until police cleared the scene. This led to delays in the area.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
