Atlanta, GA – One Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Hollowell Pkwy
Atlanta, GA (May 2, 2021) – Around 4 a.m. on the morning of Sunday, May 2, a serious pedestrian accident led to a fatality in Atlanta.
According to authorities with the Georgia State Patrol, the accident happened on Hollowell Parkway around the area of Bolton Road. A pedestrian was attempting to cross the interstate when they were struck by a vehicle. After being struck by the first vehicle, the pedestrian was then struck by several other vehicles traveling through the area.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. The female pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene due to their extensive injuries.
The driver of the vehicle that initially struck the pedestrian remained at the scene but has not yet been charged.
The roadway was blocked until approximately 7 a.m.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
