Atlanta, GA (August 31, 2021) – At 4:30 p.m. on the afternoon of Monday, August 30, an apartment fire occurred in Atlanta.

According to police, the accident happened in an apartment at the Blue Stone Village apartments. When fire crews arrived at the scene, they discovered fire coming out of a third-story apartment. They entered the apartment and put out some of the flames. They found that the fire started in the kitchen of one of the apartments.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. One person, identified as a firefighter, was injured in the fire. He was taken to the hospital but is expected to be okay.

The area was blocked for a period of time as fire crews cleared the scene.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
