Atlanta, GA (July 1, 2022) – Several parties were injured in a chain-reaction collision that took place on a highway in Atlanta on Friday afternoon, July 1.

According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-285 around the area of Chamblee Tucker Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they were involved in a chain-reaction collision. The involved vehicles were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.

Several Atlanta responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Several parties sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were treated at the scene and then rushed to local hospitals for further treatment.

Due to the severity of the accident, all lanes of traffic were blocked in the area at Chamblee Tucker Road. Drivers were told to use alternate routes until the scene was cleared.
