Atlanta, GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash with Injuries in SB Lanes of I-85
Atlanta, GA (July 6, 2021) – Before 9 a.m. on the morning of Tuesday, July 6, a multi-vehicle crash with injuries occurred in Atlanta.
According to Atlanta officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-85 around the area of Clairmont Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the crash were extensively damaged and had to be removed from the scene by tow trucks.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
Multiple left lanes of traffic were blocked in the area, which led to extensive delays.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
