Atlanta, GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-85 Near Cleveland Ave
Atlanta, GA (December 18, 2021) – At 9:11 p.m. on the night of Saturday, December 18, a multi-vehicle crash with injuries occurred in Atlanta.
According to Fulton County officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-85 around the area of Cleveland Avenue. Several vehicles were traveling in the northbound lanes of traffic when one or more lost control. This caused the vehicles to forcefully collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals, though their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, two left lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time. Police urged those in the area to use Metropolitan Parkway as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
