Atlanta, GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-85 Near Chamblee Tucker Rd
Atlanta, GA (December 16, 2021) – At 1:09 a.m. on the morning of Thursday, December 16, a multi-vehicle crash with injuries occurred on a highway in Atlanta.
According to Atlanta officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-85 around the area of Chamblee Tucker Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to forcefully collide with one another. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their identities and conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, all lanes of traffic were blocked at one point. Police urged those in the area to use Buford Highway until the scene was cleared.
