Atlanta, GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-285 Near Chamblee Tucker Rd
Atlanta, GA (July 10, 2021) – At 8 p.m. on Friday, July 9, a multi-vehicle crash with injuries occurred on a highway in Atlanta.
According to officials, the accident occurred in the northbound lanes of I-285 around the area of Chamblee Tucker Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling on the highway when they collided around exit 34 due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the crash were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
One lane of traffic was blocked in the area, which led to delays until police cleared the scene. The vehicles damaged in the crash had to be removed by tow trucks.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident remains ongoing.
