Atlanta, GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-285 Near Cascade Rd
Atlanta, GA (October 9, 2021) – At 5:06 p.m. on the evening of Friday, October 8, a multi-vehicle crash occurred on a highway in Atlanta.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-285 around the area of Cascade Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene by tow trucks.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. Their conditions are not known at this time.
The right lane of traffic was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. This led to delays until police cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
