Atlanta, GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-20 Near Gresham Rd Leads to Injuries
Atlanta, GA (August 16, 2021) – At 9:45 p.m. on the night of Sunday, August 15, a multi-vehicle crash with injuries occurred in Atlanta.
According to DeKalb County officials, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Gresham Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling on the highway in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not fully known. The vehicles involved were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were injured in the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
Multiple left lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
