Atlanta, GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-20 Near Capitol Ave
Atlanta, GA (July 16, 2021) – At 1:57 a.m. on the morning of Friday, July 16, a multi-vehicle crash occurred in Atlanta.
According to Fulton County officials, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Capitol Avenue. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the crash were extensively damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time, which led to delays for some time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
