Atlanta, GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash in WB Lanes of I-20
Atlanta, GA (July 9, 2021) – At 12:49 p.m. on Friday afternoon, July 9, a multi-vehicle crash with injuries occurred on a highway in Atlanta.
According to officials, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Gresham Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hospitalized with injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
Two right lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time, which led to delays. Police urged those in the area to use Glenwood Avenue for a period of time until the scene was cleared.
Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
