Atlanta, GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash in NB Lanes of I-85 Near Pleasantdale Rd
Atlanta, GA (September 24, 2021) – At 11:53 a.m. on the morning of Friday, September 24, a multi-vehicle crash occurred on a highway in Atlanta.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-85 around the area of exit 96, Pleasantdale Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles were damaged and had to be removed from the scene by tow trucks.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not known at this time.
Two right lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for a period of time. Police urged those traveling through the area to use Buford Highway as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
