Atlanta, GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash Causes Injuries on I-285 at I-20
Atlanta, GA (June 4, 2021) – Around 5:30 a.m. on Friday morning, June 4, a car crash took place on a busy highway in Atlanta.
Atlanta officials confirmed that the accident occurred on Interstate 285 near Interstate 20. Officers say that the crash occurred when at least two vehicles collided with one another. Police did not comment on the circumstances leading up to the accident but said that the involved vehicles were badly damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident to help those with injuries. One or more victims were hospitalized, though the extent of the injuries is not yet known.
At one point all lanes were blocked and closed, but two left lanes opened about an hour after the incident happened.
The crash is still under investigation, however, and further details have not been provided.
