Atlanta, GA – Multi-Vehicle Collision with Serious Injuries on I-20
Atlanta, GA (July 11, 2021) – At 6:17 a.m. on the morning of Sunday, July 11, a multi-vehicle collision with injuries occurred in Atlanta.
According to Atlanta authorities, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Moreland Avenue. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the crash were extensively damaged, which caused debris to scatter all over the roadway in the area. Tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles from the area.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
One lane of traffic was blocked in the area for a period of time. Police were able to quickly clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
