Atlanta, GA – Multi-Vehicle Collision with Serious Injuries on I-20
Atlanta, GA (April 22, 2021) – Around 9:10 a.m. on the morning of Thursday, April 22, a multi-vehicle collision occurred on a highway in Atlanta.
According to DeKalb County officials, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Glenwood Avenue. Multiple vehicles collided with one another in the area, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Due to the severity of the crash, all lanes of traffic were blocked for a period of time. Police urged those traveling through the area to use Glenwood Avenue and Memorial Drive as alternate routes.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
