Atlanta, GA – Multi-Vehicle Collision with Injuries in WB Lanes of I-285
Atlanta, GA (June 12, 2021) – At 7 p.m. on the evening of Friday, June 11, a multi-vehicle collision with injuries occurred on a highway in Atlanta.
According to Clayton County officials, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-285 around the area off Riverdale Road (exit 60). Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to unknown reasons, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area for some time, which led to extensive delays.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
