Atlanta, GA – Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-85 at 17th St Ends in Injuries
Atlanta, GA (August 22, 2021) – Late on Tuesday evening, August 25, a multi-vehicle collision occurred on a highway in Atlanta.
According to officers with the Atlanta Police Department, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-85. Crews were dispatched around the area of exit 84 to 17th Street.
Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they forcefully collided around 11:30 p.m. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions are not known, however.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
