Atlanta, GA – Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-75 Near University Ave
Atlanta, GA (August 29, 2021) – At 11:41 p.m. on the night of Sunday, August 29, a multi-vehicle collision occurred on a roadway in Atlanta.
According to police, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-75 around the area of University Avenue. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the collision were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions are not known at this time.
Multiple lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time. Police urged those in the area to use Metropolitan Parkway as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
