Atlanta, GA (June 5, 2021) – At 12:27 p.m. on the afternoon of Saturday, June 5, a multi-vehicle collision occurred on a highway in Atlanta.

According to officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-285 around the area of Mt. Gilead Road around the area of Langford Parkway. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not yet known. This led to extensive damages to the involved vehicles.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hospitalized for treatment of their injuries.

Two right lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time, which led to delays until police cleared the scene.

The investigation into the collision continues at this time.
