Atlanta, GA – Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-20 Near Moreland Ave
Atlanta, GA (August 1, 2021) – At 3:42 a.m. on the morning of Sunday, August 1, a multi-vehicle collision with injuries occurred in Atlanta.
According to Fulton County officials, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Moreland Avenue. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to unknown reasons. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be removed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hospitalized with injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the left lane for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
