Atlanta, GA – Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-20 Near Holmes Dr
Atlanta, GA (July 11, 2021) – At 3:20 a.m. on the morning of Sunday, July 11, a multi-vehicle collision occurred on a highway in Atlanta.
According to Fulton County officials, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Holmes Drive. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not yet known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area for some time as police cleared the scene. The damaged vehicles were cleared from the scene by tow trucks.
Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
