Atlanta, GA – Multi-Vehicle Collision on GA-166 Near DeLowe Dr
Atlanta, GA (November 6, 2021) – At 4:39 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, November 6, a multi-vehicle collision with injuries occurred in Atlanta.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of GA-166 around the area of DeLowe Drive. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured victims were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, a red alert was issued and all lanes were blocked for some time. Police urged those in the area to use I-20 as an alternate route.
No further details have been released and the investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
